Transportation in Konya

Arriving by Plane

If you are coming to Konya by plane, you will get to the airport where you can reach by private car, taxi or Havas.

Konya -which does not have a civilian airport until recently- is perhaps one of the places where transportation is most troubled.

Of course, when you compare the whole city is reachable with the city buses and minibuses.

If you are going to use Havas, you can get to the center from the airport entrance.

If you plan to use a taxi, you should know that taxi prices in Konya are expensive. Instead of going to the center by taxi, it is more convenient to take a taxi to the bus station and then get on the tram or dolmus. If you want to calculate the taxi price for any place you go along your trip, you can benefit from the site of Konya Metropolitan Municipality

One of the most important issues in Konya will be public transportation. I don’t think there will be a situation that will require you to use a taxi.

The places to visit are already certain, each one can be reached by public bus, minibus or tram. Information about public transportation can be found in “Public Transportation and Elkart Fees in Konya“.

If you think you can walk a little, you can walk out of the airport and take the bus number 44. You can learn about bus timetables and bus stops from the ATUS application.

Bus

When you arrive by intercity bus, you will arrive at Konya Bus Station, where transportation is much easier.

When you arrive by intercity bus, you will arrive at Konya Bus Station, where transportation is much easier. You can reach the center by bus or tram. Also, you can reach the center by taking a bike from the bike rental points, which you can find at the bus station as in most points of the city.

The distance may come a bit long, but you can go quite comfortably, thanks to the bike paths.

Train

If you arrive by train, you will find yourself at the Konya Railway Station in the center of Konya. If you arrive in the morning, you can have breakfast and your morning coffee in one of the cafes, near the train station. My favorite has always been Casa Di Caffe 🙂
